School Microclimate Modeling of Heat and Air Pollution Using Multispectral UAVs

School Microclimate Modeling Using Multispectral UAVs

This project will develop a real-time microclimate modeling system using multispectral unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to monitor heat and air pollution at high spatial and temporal resolution. By integrating multispectral imagery with ground-level environmental data, we aim to produce dynamic, data-driven surface and atmospheric models that capture local variability in thermal and air quality conditions.

These models will inform climate resilience strategies—particularly in complex urban environments— supporting better design, infrastructure, and operational decisions for heat mitigation and air quality management.
